How does KoolBanana Work? – A basic overview.

A KoolBanana monitors a network of sensors. Sensors can be any type but are usually temperature.

The KoolBanana needs an internet connection and so is usually connected to a local network or hotspot. There is a maximum of 15 sensors with current models. A display shows the current temperatures of each sensor

Their measurements are logged into a data base and can be retrieved for analysis. The sensors are typically read every 5 minutes or so but can be anywhere from seconds to hours, but is set according to need. Alarms are set and when they are exceeded a message will be sent via Telegram (and email if required) to alert of any problem. Emails can be sent twice daily showing an hourly snapshot of all sensors during that period.

The sensors are usually connected via a standard telephone cable system and can be extended if required.

For smaller systems of say two sensors, there can be a simple display that shows the current temperatures.

Alternatively there is a webpage built into the koolbanana that can be displayed on you web browser. It shows the current temperatures, the alarm settings, the ability to temporarily disable an alarm sensore and the ability to change the alarm settings.

On your log-in page you can see the following data displayed
